5 Reasons To Go Paperless
Advancements in scanning hardware and document management applications have made going paperless a breeze. If your company hasn't started this project, here are 5 important reasons to go paperless:
1. Locating Documents. Employees spend roughly 1/3 of their time searching for paper documents. Taking the next step to calculate losses per hour makes this a fairly simple equation;
2. Rapid Retrieval. Electronic documents are easier to find when indexed by date, type, specific text or other criteria;
3. Expedited Approvals. Companies can speed the approval process internally and externally, and affix legally valid digital signatures as well;
4. Think Green. Reducing our carbon footprint is a worthy goal. Paperless means keeping more trees alive to do their job slowing down climate change; and
5. Square Footage. File cabinets use a footprint that might otherwise be monetized. The value of a room full of cabinets vs space to sell services or products is a no-brainer.
